SARAH di iorio, FOUNDER

As a young hairdresser, Sarah Di Iorio and many of her clients had adverse reactions to colours and common hair products. Seeing the effects of products on people’s eyes, scalps and skin was the catalyst to understand more about healthy products and services in the hair industry. These reactions were especially worrying for young children and pregnant woman. Sarah decided that staff and clients deserved an alternative which enabled them to look and feel fantastic without the compromises – and Organika Hair was created as a direct realisation of that vision.

PAUL, SALON CO-OWNER + SENIOR STYLIST

Heart-centred Paul is our warm and fuzzy ‘Dad’ of our Carlton location. Paul is a MAD ‘Dees’ fan (you can find him at the football all winter long), talented cook and food-lover, and loves to unwind at home with a glass of red.

GEMMA, Senior stylist

Gemma is from Auckland, New Zealand and moved to Melbourne in 2024.

“When I moved Melbourne, Organika was my first choice of salons to work for”.

Gemma started her hairdressing journey at 15 and never looked back. “Hairdressing has always been the dream job and I’m excited to continue that dream working for Organika. I enjoy doing it all, from big colour transformations to a small cuts & trims”.

 “With my spare time I plan to explore Melbourne and do some traveling across the rest of Australia”

RYAN, SENIOR STYLIST

Originally from Southampton, England, Ryan joined us in Melbourne in 2024, bringing his expertise and fresh perspective to our team.

With 6 years of experience in the hairdressing industry, Ryan is passionate about creating transformative looks that leave clients feeling confident and beautiful. Specializing in balayage and color transformations, he loves introducing clients to innovative styles and techniques tailored to their unique vision.

Beyond the salon, Ryan is excited to immerse himself in Melbourne’s vibrant culture and explore the beauty of Australia.

Alexandra, Senior stylist

Alexandra is a Melbourne girl who started hairdressing at the age of 16. She has always loved being creative, especially with colour. She also loves the challange and satisfaction from cutting curly hair.

Portia, Senior Stylist

Portia was born and raised in Melbourne. With over 13 years experience in hair, she started her hair journey at 16 yrs old and fell In love very quickly. It wasn’t long before she was entering state wide competitions and landing industry awards such as Apprentice of the year, 1st place in women’s colouring, cutting and styling and 1st place men’s cutting.

As a senior stylist she made sure to get involved in event styling such as Melbourne fashion week, editorial work and salon management. With a passion for creativity, authenticity and sustainability her talents have proven to make her clients feel their most magnetic selves.

Casey, Salon manager

Casey has 24 years experience in the hairdressing industry and has built a career defined by passion, expertise, and innovation.

After completing training at Melbourne’s Biba Academy, Casey honed skills and techniques that would shape a successful career, expanding her expertise in both cutting-edge styles and classic techniques, becoming a sought-after professional in the industry.

Entrepreneurial spirit led her to open Lost N Found Barbers, a successful barbershop that employed a dedicated team of nine staff members. The barbershop became known for its welcoming environment, expert cuts, and strong community ties.
